A classic case of the assumed auto-eroticism of shipping a guy with himself. Like every other tf2 selfcest ship, this is made viable by the fact the REDS and BLUS are clones of each other. And honestly, Scout's probably in the top three of the mercs who'd be most down to fuck his clone.
Canon
- They fight to death every day, but they don't interact outside the game (i.e. in the promotional videos or the comics).
- In game, they bully the hell out of each other with such iconic voicelines (ripped directly from the wiki) as "You're like a car crash in slow motion. It's like I'm watchin' ya fly through a windshield.", "Hit the road, bozo! Let a real Scout get to work!", and "Yeah, I dare ya, rage quit. C'mon, make us both happy!".
- One can safely assume they hate each others' guts, but then again you know what they say about sexual tension, enemies to lovers and such.

Why
- As you can see in the above image, people also like to ship Scout with his genderbent equivalent, particularly that one specific model whose origins I remain in most likely blissful ignorance of. I would say that contributes heavily. It's like Loki and Girl Loki (forgor her name) in the Loki series: a lot of people fucking lose it over the chance to ship various guys (gn) with their various girl (also gn) equivalents.
- The other main reason is the same reason every other selfcest ship ever exists: nothing hotter than a hot twink kissing another hot twink who is just him but also not. Looking at you, underverse.
